Modeling adaptability in object-oriented software development

Adaptability is mostly defined as the ease with which a system may be adapted to the changing context. The questions which form the guidelines for our research activities are among others: What is being adapted? How can the adaptation take place? What are the restrictions or the constraints? Who is responsible for the adaptability? We made an attempt to provide answers to these questions in this paper and give abstract models for the adaptability issues. These adaptability models can then be applied at different abstraction levels in order to reason about the adaptable behavior of the system and explore better
